Penoplasty: cost, procedure and results — the complete guide

How does a medical penoplasty unfold, what results can be expected, and at what price? This complete guide answers, step by step, the questions most patients have before going ahead.
An essential first step: the consultation
Hyaluronic acid penoplasty takes place at the practice, on an outpatient basis. It requires a prior in-person consultation: this is essential and nothing can replace it — neither teleconsultation nor advice by telephone. An examination must be carried out, explanations given, and a quotation provided to the patient. Like any aesthetic medical or surgical procedure, it is never decided on the spot. This mandatory period of reflection protects the patient: it allows the decision to mature, questions to be asked, and a precise understanding of what lies ahead.
How it unfolds at the practice
On the day of the procedure, a strong anaesthetic cream makes it painless. The recommendations to follow before and after have been given in advance. The injection, carried out once a treatment plan specific to the patient has been drawn up, takes 45 min to 1 h. A proper penoplasty is one in which both the glans and the shaft are injected. The aftercare to follow is clearly explained to the patient.
This “treatment plan” deserves a word: before any injection, the practitioner defines with the patient the proportions being aimed for, according to his anatomy and expectations. Nothing is left to chance or improvised on the day — the procedure follows a plan established in advance.
The results to expect
Results vary from one patient to another. The penis will be thicker, both flaccid and erect: a maximum gain of 2 to 5 cm in girth is possible, depending on skin quality and other factors. Flaccid length increases through the effect of weight — highly retractile penises hang particularly well as a result. Let us be clear, however: no length gain is obtained on the erect penis.
Injection of the glans, properly carried out, produces a glans that is well engorged when erect and is not outgrown by the shaft — which will increase in any case. It is worth recalling that the glans is the first structure involved in penetration. Neglecting to treat it would unbalance the whole; addressing it, by contrast, favours a more harmonious result.
The cost of a proper penoplasty
The price varies according to the patient's baseline dimensions: hence the requirement for an initial consultation and prior examination. No penoplasty exists for under €4,000 once a quality product is used and appropriate volumes are injected, glans and shaft included. The order of magnitude is between €4,000 and €5,500. A price markedly below this should raise the alarm: it often reflects a diluted product, an insufficient volume, or a glans left untreated.
A result that lasts
Finally, it is worth recalling what gives this procedure its value: after two procedures the result is near-permanent, hyaluronic acid behaving like an endoprosthesis. Maintenance is not obligatory. Set against its lifespan, the outlay is therefore viewed quite differently from that of a treatment requiring constant renewal. Properly conducted, from the first discussion through to stabilisation at one month, medical penoplasty gives a result that is safe, measured and lasting.
