Medical penoplasty

Penile enhancement — girth and length — through a medical approach, without surgery and without scarring. A carefully controlled procedure, carried out in measured proportions and in accordance with the profession's ethical rules. An in-person consultation is essential. Dr Stéphane Auroy has been performing hyaluronic acid penoplasty for more than 15 years.

Key points

Enhancement, without resorting to surgery

What previously required a visit to the operating theatre, with fat harvesting and reinjection, sometimes combined with division of the suspensory ligament, can now be carried out at the practice in 45 min to 1 h, with no incision, no sutures and no hospital stay. The result is immediate and, above all, adjustable.

  • A gain in girth and length obtained by injection alone.
  • No major surgery, no scarring and no time away from daily life.
  • Open to any man, whatever his starting build, provided the request is realistic.
  • A medical procedure in its own right, governed by an initial consultation and by professional ethics.

The procedure

Lengthening and girth enhancement of the penis and glans

Medical penoplasty is an outpatient procedure performed without surgery: no incision, no sutures, no general anaesthesia. It aims to increase the girth and/or length of the penis, as well as the volume of the glans, in measured proportions agreed beforehand in discussion between practitioner and patient. The objective is to build a genuine treatment plan, considered for both the short and long term.

Over the past 30 years, soft-tissue fillers have established themselves in aesthetic medicine, hyaluronic acid foremost among them — a synthetic molecule, of non-animal origin, biocompatible and resorbable. Initially confined to the face, these products have gradually answered other requests: the body, female intimate areas, and more recently the penis in men.

Explicit medical content

Formerly, the surgical approach

Access long limited by the scale of the procedure
  • Division of the intrapubic suspensory ligament of the penis to increase size, but with an often disappointing result.
  • Penile lipostructure using autologous fat to increase girth.
  • A procedure in the operating theatre, under general anaesthesia, leaving a scar, with an unpredictable outcome for the injected fat. Surgery remains the option where it is strictly necessary (micropenis).

Today, the medical approach

A simple answer, without surgery
  • Hyaluronic acid injection, on an outpatient basis, with no incision and no sutures.
  • An increase in penile girth both flaccid and erect, and an increase in flaccid length, in measured proportions and reversible if desired (average girth gain of 2 to 5 cm).
  • A treatment plan defined in consultation, designed for both the short and long term.
Facts

Understanding the request, in measured proportions

From Greco-Roman mythology to the deities of ancient India, the penis has always symbolised power, virility and fertility. Its size remains, for many men, a recurring source of questioning — whether warranted or not.

It bears repeating: cases of micropenis are extremely rare and fall within the surgical field (under 7 to 8 cm when erect), and a penis of 5 cm when erect is sufficient for reproductive function. Most requests stem from a wish for greater length and girth when flaccid — self-confidence, self-esteem — and for greater girth when erect.

Before any penoplasty, one step is essential: ruling out, first and foremost, psychological disorders, unrealistic requests, underlying anxiety or organic erectile dysfunction, which would persist after the procedure and render it pointless. That is precisely the purpose of the initial consultation: a rigorous medical assessment, attentive to the request and faithful to what the technique can actually achieve.
