A poor penoplasty outcome: causes and corrective options

A poor penoplasty outcome is not inevitable: where every criterion of rigour is met, it simply cannot occur. And when a poor result does arise, it remains reversible.
A failure that is almost always avoidable
Where every criterion of rigour is met, a penoplasty cannot go wrong. This is an essential point to grasp: a poor result is not a matter of chance, but the consequence of one or more identifiable failings. A thorough consultation, a suitable product, the right volume, a practitioner who knows the anatomy, and a patient who follows the instructions: bring these conditions together, and the risk of failure becomes minimal.
The causes of a poor result
The possible causes of failure are well known: an unsuitable product, a volume injected that is insufficient or excessive, failure to follow the post-procedure recommendations intended to even out the result, resuming intercourse or masturbation too early, and a poor assessment of the starting anatomy and its characteristics — curvature, foreskin length, whether or not the patient is circumcised and how well, size and shape of the glans. Each of these causes points back to a stage at which rigour was lacking, whether on the practitioner's side or the patient's.
Correction by dissolution
Here is the good news, specific to hyaluronic acid: nothing is permanent. Complete dissolution can be carried out using hyaluronidase, in one or two sessions depending on the volume initially injected, allowing a return to the starting point. This reversibility is a major advantage: where a failed surgical procedure can leave lasting consequences, a disappointing medical result can be erased. It is what makes the medical route a particularly safe option.
One important caveat
One caveat, however: if dissolution is carried out very late, permanent stretching of the skin is to be expected. In other words, the window for correction is not unlimited. Where the result is unsatisfactory, it is better to seek advice without waiting too long rather than letting the situation become established. Properly managed and addressed in time, a poor result can be corrected — but prevention, through choosing a conscientious practitioner from the outset, obviously remains the best strategy.
